May 19th Tracking Update

About time the FTC is doing something about the auto warranty telemarketing, it’ll be interesting how long before they shutdown the “Rachel from Card Services”  which is just as bad.
The recordings page has been updated with some April/May recordings, the 6 minute long ring ring ring until a so-called “Auto Warranty Rep” is a classic… I gave up waiting and put the cell phone down to finish eating dinner.  Static tracking page of previous numbers has been taken offline and will be back in a more search friendly format.

303-586-6397(May 1st): Spanish telemarketer recording, either selling something or a scam prize. The number is spoofed.

573-324-4234(May 2nd): Wrong name spoken by telemarketer, pitching a contest or prize for having a Visa account. The number is a landline from Bowling Green, MO and the provider is Southwestern Bell/at&t.

333-222-5566(May 6th): Spoofed phone number was a good hint this was a scam, message was about “foreclosure” aid program with “press 1 to be connected to an operator or 2 to be removed from the list”  Pressing 1 resulted in a 2 minute ringing and ringing.

702-520-1113(multiple calls in late April to May 6th): Same “Rachel from Card Services” scam mentioned in past posts, seems like they’re cycling through every 702-520-1xxx number in a pool of dialers or something. The number is a landline from Las Vegas, NV and the provider is Digitcom Services Inc.

909-842-9188 (May 6th): Dead air telemarketer message left on GrandCentral voicemail, number has many reports of it being auto warranty. The number is a landline from Ontario, CA and the provider is Digitcom Services Inc.

603-214-3340 / 603-214-3564 (late April to May 11th): Same auto warranty call, audio recording reference “603-214-3340“. The number is a landline from Errol, NH and the provider is Freedom Ring Communications LLC.

718-301-0365 (May 8th): Another ‘foreclosure’ aid telemarketer with a pre-recorded message and the usual press 1 to talk to a drone. Wasn’t fast enough to record the call.  The number is a landline from New York, NY and the provider is Xo New York Inc.

240-699-8971 (May 8-11th): Another “Rachel from Card Services” scam number, pressing to talk to a rep results in a very long ring ring ring until somebody answers or call drops.  The number is a landline from Adamstown, MD and the provider is Verizon.

213-710-8112 (May 8th): A telemarketer with a pre-recorded message about GE Home Security, multiple calls in April. The number is a landline from Gardena, CA and the provider is Digitcom Services Inc.

506-930-9971 (late April to May 11th): “Debt Consolidation” telemarketer, again the same button mashing choices. The number is spoofed.

203-274-9599 (May 11th): “Dealers National” telemarketer pitching an auto warranty which a partial voicemail was left of that pre-recorded message. The number is a landline from Las Stamford, CT and the provider is Southwestern Bell Mobile.

978-570-2057 (May 13th-14th): Typical warranty expired recording. “Warranty Company” is all I could get out of the call drone who answered and then hung up. The number is a landline from Wilmington, MA and the provider is Teleport Communications.

704-886-1095 (May 14 & 18th):  Another “Card Services” pre-recorded message about lower your credit card interest.  The number is a landline from Concord, NC and the provider is US Lec of North Carolina Inc.

702-520-9158 (May 15th): DishTV telemarketer with a pre-recorded message. The number is a landline from Las Vegas, NV and the provider is Digitcom Services Inc.

202-495-7170 (May 16th): Pre-recorded message on lowering credit card debt interest rate, call drone hung up upon being asked what credit card they’re calling about. The number came up as spoofed when researched.

402-982-0688 (May 18th): Same pre-recorded message as May 16th, got a partial voicemail recording of it. The number is a landline from Omaha, NE and the provider is Citistream Communications Inc.

800-465-7962: Pre-recorded message of dead air left on GrandCentral voicemail, from the looks of whocalled.us and other sites there are multiple pre-recorded messages used by this number.

571-990-9990 (May 18th): Pre-recorded message in Spanish of a prize or something. Number is spoofed so not much leads of who they are.
